January 06, 2014 / 7 Attention Grabbing Drinks
Choosing the right drink can get women to approach you.
Attracting attention is crucial in order to be maximally successful with women. Many experts advocate a "peacocking" approach where you dress in a flamboyant manner to attract attention. However, peacocking by how you dress it not the only way to do it. One fun way to attract attention is to order an attention grabbing drink! Here are 7 ideas. Order these and see people coming up to you to start the conversation!
1. Large or unusual beer bottles
If a place has a large (500ml+) bottle of beer you can order, do it! Being the guy drinking out of a huge beer bottle is not only a great way to catch eyes but saves you time going back and forth to and from the bar. Unusual beers also work wonders. Try ordering a delirium tremens, for example.
2. Extremely girly looking red/pink drink
Don’t do it if you have an effeminate appearance of personality, but being a manly looking man holding a pink umbrella drink will attract some very wanted attention. You’ll have to be able to handle being teased about it, but at the end of the day, no one cares if you drink girly drinks if you act like a man in every other department. Most likely, you’ll just get girls coming up to you given you an easy opportunity to impress them.
3. Drinks with a fire component
This technique only works at a bar, but try ordering a drink with a "fire" component. Most people around you will likely start a conversation with you about it! Some examples include a flaming dr pepper and others.
4. An unusual drink for the venue
Ever tried ordering a martini at a dive bar? Well, try it, because you are likely to get people starting conversations with you about it! In general, ordering a drink that seems "out of place" for a venue can attract attention. You may think it will be unwanted or bad attention, but this is not the case, I mean, it’s just a drink!
5. Double fisting
Having two drinks in your hands, especially if they are two different type of drinks can attract some easy attention. People want to be social at bars, so make it easy for them by giving them an easy excuse to talk to you!
6. Drinks with a big ice cube
Drinks with a huge ice cube are great attention grabbers. The downside is you can’t chew on the ice cubes when you are nervous, but it will probably get you some attention.
7. Perrier or other bottled sparkling water
If you don’t drink alcohol, don’t just sip on a glass of water, order one of these. When I am not in the mood to drink, I often order a Perrier and get a surprising amount of attention because of it. Usually it starts of a bit negative ("Why aren’t you drinking?") but it’s pretty easy to re-frame that conversation. The other downside? You’re paying $13 for tap water run through a soda stream.
Getting people to talk to you isn’t as hard as you may think. Ordering a drink from this list might not only taste good and get you buzzed, but help start a conversation as well!
